Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. It often shows up as constant fatigue, loss of motivation, detachment, and reduced creativity.
Although commonly linked to work, burnout can happen anywhere stress exists. Overworking, perfectionism, loneliness, lack of purpose, and mental health struggles like depression can all contribute to it.
There’s no quick fix, but burnout can be managed by reducing overthinking, recognizing your self-worth beyond productivity, making time for rest and play, and aligning your life with a sense of purpose.
